چکیده
In this study, new material of polyacrylic acid-modified graphene oxide (GO-PAA) composite for phenol remediation from synthetic and real wastewater was investigated. The (GO) GO-PAA were physically chemically characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), Brunauer–Emmet–Teller (BET). effects various experimental factors including pH, temperature, initial concentration examined. Results showed that the optimum adsorption occurred at pH 2 temperature 25 °C. capacity double case un-modified GO, indicating importance surface modification introduction (C=O) groups in enhancement process. Moreover, Langmuir isotherm found to be most suitable describe process phenol, thermodynamics studies confirmed spontaneity exothermic nature capable removing 75% 18% wastewater, respectively under conditions These results indicate phenolic compounds could an effective simple method remediate pollution, especially acidic conditions. • Polyacrylic investigated adsorption. GO. % removal 75 18, respectively. mechanisms on both GO mainly dominated by π – interactions.
